AER Update - Current Events – 17 APRIL 2026
Army Emergency Relief is prepared to assist Soldiers and eligible family members affected by Super Typhoon Sinlaku in Guam and the surrounding islands of the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas (Rota, Tinian, and Saipan). This support is intended to help with immediate needs such as food, water, fuel, and temporary lodging.
Individuals seeking assistance should create an online account at www.armyemergencyrelief.org. When completing the application, select “Disaster Assistance” and enter “Typhoon Sinlaku (Guam)” as the event name.
If an applicant does not have access to a computer, they may contact AER toll‑free at 1‑866‑878‑6378 or email assistance-helpdesk@aerhq.org for support.

Army Emergency Relief stands ready to support Soldiers and families affected by evolving conditions across the Middle East. Those required to evacuate or relocate due to operational, or safety concerns are eligible for financial assistance. This assistance is provided through grants to cover needs such as temporary lodging and food.
Through partnerships with our Sister Service Military Aid Societies, financial assistance may also be provided to Army Soldiers and Families on behalf of AER if a sister service Military Aid Society office is located at the evacuation site.Individuals affected should create an online account for assistance at: www.armyemergencyrelief.org. On the application, please select Disaster Assistance and enter Middle East in the event field.
