Army Emergency Relief (AER) is prepared to support Soldiers in the event of a pay disruption on November 1st. Please note that the Government Shutdown Relief Loan is only available if a government shutdown causes all
Soldiers to miss pay on the 1st or 15th of the month.
To improve the experience, AER has temporarily taken
the Government Shutdown Relief Loan application offline for updates. If you already started an application
and have not yet submitted that application, you can continue it.
All submitted applications are processed and placed in a HOLD status. Funds will only be released once it is officially confirmed that Soldiers will not be paid on the upcoming payday.
⚠️ Important:
If your pay issue is due to paperwork delays, order processing,
allotment changes, administrative issues, or other financial needs, do not proceed with the Government Shutdown Relief Loan application. Instead, please select the appropriate application type from the available menu so we can assist you promptly and effectively.
